On Friday 13th somewhere in the arches of Tower Hill, Girl’s With Attitude attended the Conchita Perez’s Spring Summer 2014 fashion show, ironically it was freezing cold and pouring down with rain. Nonetheless this was no regular show, it was different to your standard London Fashion Week showcase in many ways, but mainly it was special to us all at GWA as we were the official lash sponsor! Yes that’s right, every single model rocked our Double Lash 6 down the runway and we’ve never seen our lashes worn in such a creative way!
From the make-up, to the hair, to the outfits, the show represented imagination and a futuristic flare, which is no surprise as Conchita is one of the most imaginative young designers around, having worked for the likes of Alexander McQueen and Paloma Faith in the past, in both London and Paris Fashion Weeks.
We were bursting with excitement throughout and of course wanted to share our experience with you, from being backstage to being front row, we have it all.
The Conchita 2014 collection was hosted at a dark, grungy location set in underground arches in Tower Hill. Alternative tribal house style music which suited the theme of the show perfectly, greeted us.
Upon arrival we saw Lucy Mecklenburgh from The Only Way is Essex, who shortly after took her seat opposite us. Lucy rocked a pink PVC skirt and black jumper, looking perfect for the occasion and bang on trend as PVC will be huge this season!
Backstage we got the chance to meet with Conchita herself and the likes of Gina Kane (MUA) and Sue Marsh the eyelash guru!
The make-up, just like the clothes consisted of a very futuristic theme along with vivid colour palettes of deep greys and indigo blues along with lots of white.
Backstage we got to meet some of the models and analyse their make-up looks! All models were wearing Girls With Attitude Double Lash 6, applied with Sue Marsh Lash Holder! Dramatic eyes and hair were the major theme!
The clothes themselves were quirky and unlike anything we’d seen before. Futuristic designs encompassing both a grungy yet feminine feel. From sharp shoulder pads to lots of leather, Conchita had it all and stayed true to her avant garde theme.
Conchita herself and Annabel Neilson closed the show and talking to Conchita after the grand finale, she was ecstatic at how well the show went, and we would agree. The show was quirky, artistic and creative and we loved the way our lashes looked on the models.
